I am a barrister focusing on commercial and civil litigation. I have specialist knowledge in employment law having acted for both employers and employees throughout my career.
I was admitted to the bar in 1997 after graduating with degrees in Law and Arts (English) at the University of Canterbury. I then travelled to Singapore and worked as a paralegal for Chor Pee & Partners for two years. I initially worked in the litigation team there before being transferred to work in the firm’s corporate team assisting with the Hewlett-Packard demerger for the final nine months of my contract.
I returned to Christchurch in 2000, initially working at Malley & Co before joining Saunders Robinson Brown in 2002. I became a partner in October 2006, and left to commence practice as a barrister in May 2018.
I advise clients on a wide range of commercial litigation matters including general commercial litigation, relationship property and family property claims and dispute resolution. I also have specialist knowledge in all aspects of employment law and regularly advise clients in relation to employment agreements, personal grievances and other employment related matters.
